Connors Run 2025

By September 2, 2025 No Comments

At HTA, community and connection are at the heart of what we do. That’s why we’re proud to not only support our client Tango in their fundraising efforts, but also to be joining them on the track this year.

Both the HTA and Tango teams will be taking part in Connor’s Run, Australia’s largest event dedicated to paediatric brain cancer research. From 3km to 18.8km, we’ll be running, walking, and cheering to raise awareness and vital funds for young people living with brain cancer.

Why this matters

For Tango, this cause is deeply personal. One of their directors, Ed, and his wife Natasha (who is also Tango’s People and Culture Manager) have been navigating the heartbreaking journey of brain cancer with their 9 year-old son, Billy.

Billy was first diagnosed four years ago. After major surgery and a brief period of positive news, the cancer unfortunately returned last year. Thanks to groundbreaking treatment, Billy is now back to enjoying the everyday joys of childhood – surfing, playing footy, and living life to the fullest. Ongoing tests are still part of his journey, but his progress brings hope to many.

Why your support counts

Brain cancer is the number one cancer killer of young people in Australia, yet research in this area continues to be underfunded. Events like Connor’s Run play a crucial role in funding the research that brings real change to families like Billy’s.

Over the past 13 years, Connor’s Run has grown into a movement that attracts thousands of participants and high-profile ambassadors, all working towards one goal: a world without brain cancer.
