BEN SEEGER
Director

Ben began his career in the financial industry in 2005 and became a valuable member of the HTA team in 2008. With a passion for working with a diverse range of clients, Ben excels in providing tailored financial solutions, whether it’s assisting individuals with basic financial management or guiding high-net-worth clients to maximize their wealth. His most significant professional achievement is establishing HTA’s financial planning business, HTA Wealth, from the ground up.

Outside of work, you’ll often find him camping or working on home renovations — he’s pretty handy with tools! He’s also kicked an impressive 500+ goals for his footy club. The one thing he couldn’t live without? His family.

ELISHA HUKE
Director

Elisha began her career in the accounting industry in 2010 and joined HTA in 2014 as a junior accountant. Since then, she has grown into a key leader within the firm, with her proudest professional achievement being her promotion to Partner at HTA.

Elisha is passionate about developing her team and guiding them toward their career aspirations. She takes great pride in mentoring others and playing a pivotal role in the success of HTA’s clients.

Her journey also includes a personal milestone, becoming a mum, and spending time living and working for HTA while in Europe, which ticked off her personal goal to live and travel Europe.

JULIE RAMKE-MEYER
Director

Julie joined the HTA team in October 2011 as the firm’s first graduate accountant, shortly after completing her Bachelor of Accounting at La Trobe University. Since then, she has made remarkable strides in her career, with her proudest achievement being the founding of HTA Queensland on the Sunshine Coast.

As a Director of HTA, Julie leads with passion and purpose, supporting her team and clients from it’s Maroochydore office. She is deeply committed to helping clients achieve success and finds fulfillment in guiding others through life-changing financial decisions.

Julie is known for her warm leadership style and her dedication to building a collaborative, high-performing team culture that reflects HTA’s values.

Outside of work, if she’s not with her family, you’ll find her hitting the gym—her alarm goes off at 4:25 a.m. every. single. day. Since 2016, she has been the treasurer of the Lungitude Foundation, a charity close to her heart that supports lung transplant recipients and their carers. This commitment followed her stepsister’s double-lung transplant.

TIM HALE
Director

Tim began his career in 1999 and went on to become one of HTA’s founding partners in 2008 — an achievement he considers his proudest professional milestone. For Tim, founding HTA has meant the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of both clients and team members.

Tim’s favourite part of the job? Talking! He thrives on connecting with people, listening deeply, and helping work through problems — big or small — with insight and care.

Outside of work, you’ll find Tim spending time with his family (usually around a good meal), enjoying the outdoors, running at least three times a week, and unwinding with a great glass of red. He’s also a passionate Collingwood supporter and couldn’t imagine missing a Magpies win at the ‘G.

Tim is also deeply committed to supporting the hearing-impaired community — a cause close to his heart due to his family’s personal connection.

TROY TOWNLEY
Director

After beginning his first Graduate role in 1999, Troy went on to become one of HTA’s founding fathers in 2008. He considers HTA’s growth into the business it is today as his biggest professional achievement. His favourite part of his job is being able to work with clients and our team to have a positive and lasting impact for them and their families, listening and tactically working through problems, big and small.

Outside of work you’ll find Troy cycling – he considers himself a Beach Road MAMIL (Middle-Aged Man in Lycra). He also enjoys playing golf and watching live sports, with a particular fondness for horse racing. Causes he’s passionate about include mental health, physical health and a fairer go for small businesses and families.

Alex Smith

Position: Manager - Technical

Alex started with HTA in October 2018 and has been working in the industry since 2008. His favourite part of his job is teaching others, be they Junior Accountants or clients. He enjoys watching people develop new skills and confidence as they grow into their role. His biggest professional achievement was being appointed the CFO of a health organisation at 27 years old.

Jennifer Morgan

Position: Client Services Coordinator

Jenn joined the industry in 2025, bringing with her 16 years of experience in law — 10.5 years in commercial law and 5.5 years in property law. Her proudest professional achievement is building and maintaining trusted working relationships with clients, something that remains at the heart of her work. She finds the greatest joy in connecting with people, whether it’s supporting clients or collaborating with colleagues to get the best outcome.
